Abstrakt	The aim of the article is to analyse and assess changes in the potato market in Poland. The area of potato cultivation in Poland is gradually decreasing. The scale of this phenomenon is very large - unparalleled in any other country. Unprocessed, fresh potato are replaced more and more often with ready-made preserves and cereal products, e.g. groats, rice and pasta. The study uses statistical materials published by The Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute and the Central Statistical Office. The time range of these data covers the years 2001-2019. During the development of the data, the basic methods of statistical analysis were used, i.e. correlation, change dynamics, arithmetic mean and standard deviation.

Abstrakt	The aim of the work is to assess the demand for food among households in Poland and the changes that occurred in this demand in the years 2000-2016. In addition, changes in the consumption of selected food products over a period of 10 years depending on the socio-economic group of the household have been evaluated. The research material consists of secondary data obtained from the publication of the Central Statistical Office in the years 2000-2016. The study uses descriptive statistics methods. The income situation of households in Poland during the period under review significantly improved. In the analysed years, monthly expenses on food products per one person grew slower than total expenditure and disposable income. The analysis of the research material showed a decrease in consumption of the majority of discussed food products. The increase in demand occurred in the case of yoghurts as well as cheese and curd. The analysis divided into socio-economic groups of the households showed significant variation in the consumption of sugar, fish and seafood as well as oils and fats.

Abstrakt	Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie zmian wielkości i struktury wymiany handlowej produktami rolno-spożywczymi Polski z Niemcami w latach 2003 – 2015. W analizie wykorzystano dane Ministerstwa Finansów publikowane przez IERiGŻ-PIB oraz dane z internetowych baz danych Eurostat oraz WITS – Comtrade. Wymiana handlowa produktami rolno-spożywczymi z Niemcami sukcesywnie się zwiększa, zarówno po stronie eksportu, jak i importu. Wraz z tendencją wzrostową w wymianie handlowej z Niemcami w latach 2003-2015 zmieniła się jej struktura asortymentowa. Wskaźnik TC pokazuje nadwyżkę eksportu nad importem większości grup produktów. Także analiza wskaźnika SI, potwierdziła specjalizację polskich produktów rolno-spożywczych na rynek niemiecki w przypadku 14 z 23 grup asortymentowych, a wysokie wartości wskaźnika GL w większości grup produktów rolno-spożywczych, potwierdzają umacniającą się pozycję producentów w tych grupach produktowych.
Abstract	The purpose of an article was to analyse changes in the size and structure of trade in agri-food products with Germany in the years 2003-2015. There were used data of the Polish Ministry of Finance published by IRIGZ-PIB as well as information from Eurostat and WITS-Comtrade databases. Trade in agri-food products with Germany is gradually increasing, both on the export and import side. Despite the upward trend in trade with Germany in the years 2003-2015, its assortment structure has changed. Calculated TC index indicates export surplus over import of most product groups. The analysis of the SI indicator also confirmed the specialization of Polish agri-food products targeted at the German market for 14 out of 23 assortment groups. The high values of the GL indicator for most agri-food product groups confirm the growing position of their producers.

Abstrakt	Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zmian jakie zaszły w eksporcie oraz imporcie owoców i ich przetworów po przystąpieniu Polski do krajów UE, jak również konkurencyjności branży. Analiza dotyczyła lat 2004-2014 i była przeprowadzona na podstawie danych IERiGŻ-PIB. Analizie poddano wartość i saldo obrotów, strukturę geograficzną oraz wybrane wskaźniki konkurencyjności. Głównym importerem owoców z Polski są kraje starej UE i WNP. Polska ma przewagę komparatywną przede wszystkim w przypadku przetworów z owoców, co potwierdzają wartości wskaźników TC, LFI i GLI. Przyczyną tak dużego wzrostu eksportu do krajów unijnych było w dużej mierze zniesienie ceł, atrakcyjne ceny oraz wysoka jakość. Wpływ na handel owocami i ich przetworami, podobnie jak i innymi produktami, ma również kurs walut.
Abstract	The aim of this article is to present the changes that have taken place in export and import of fruits and their preserves after the Polish accession to the EU, as well as the competitiveness of the trade. The analysis covered the period 2004-2014 and has been conducted on the basis of the data from IERiGŻ-PIB. The value and the balance of trade, as well as the geographical structure of exchange were analysed, as were selected indicators of competitiveness. The main importers of fruits from Poland are old EU countries as well as CIS. Poland has a comparative advantage especially in the case of processed fruit, which is confirmed by values of TC, LFI and GLI. The reason for a large increase in exports to EU countries was largely the abolition of customs duties, attractive prices and high quality. The exchange rate also has an effect on trade of fruit and their preserves, as well as other products.
